De titels worden verdeeld tijdens de American Sunday Finaleraces

Dit weekend is het zo ver, de beslissende races om het Nederlands historisch kampioenschap '82-'90 vinden plaats tijdens de American Sunday Finaleraces op het TT Circuit van Assen. Op zaterdag zijn er drie sessies, de kwalificatie en Race 1 en Race 2. Zondag vindt de grote finale plaats met Race 3. Voor het tijdschema klik je hier: American-sunday-finaleraces

Met drie races zijn er nog volop punten te sprokkelen. Er kan nog van alles gebeuren. Het is meervoudig kampioen Pieter Bikker die de stand leidt met 116,8 punten, maar Yannick Rehorst staat er zeer kort achter met 115 punten! Ook Ed van Hemert heeft nog een kans, hij staat op 102 punten.

In de klassen is het ook nog spannend. In CT34 (Porsche 944’s) staan Ton Vos/Bart van Kessel bovenaan met 74,4 punten, Patrick vd Ende op 68,6 en Vick Schuijlenburg op 66,0. Hier is dus nog van alles mogelijk. Bij de Mazda’s is Yannick met een megaprestatie nog prima in te halen door Sven-Olaf Homann; het gat bedraagt 16 punten. Peter Bikker heeft in CT44 de boel onder controle met bijna het dubbele aantal punten van zijn grootste concurrent Shirley van der Lof (59,8). In T44 staat Michel Groen 13,4 punten achter Ed van Hemert, dus ook daar is nog niets zeker. De complete tussenstand staat hier: stand. 

Naast veel Amerikaans showgeweld wordt er op Assen verder nog geracet in de Supercar Challenge, moderne Mazda’s Mx-5 en Radicals.
